Project Scope/Challenges: Install three different product layers into most animal enclosures. The products were chosen to copy the animals’ natural environment. Access was a challenge as the shell of the building was already erected when the landscape products needed to be installed. The truck had a small area to the side of the site that it could park, and then the product was installed winding hoses throughout walkways and enclosures. As with most active construction sites, dozens of things were happening at once adding to the challenges.

Products Applied: A sub base consisting of a mix of river sand, blue metal, sandy loam, scoria, and ash. Also a layer of Planter Box Mix specifically made for this site. Probably the most interesting product installed was red sand that had been brought from outback Northern Territory.

Quantities/Distance: 1300m3 (approx. 1700 cu. yds.) up to 152m (or 500 feet)

Company Profile: The Hills Bark Blower is the first and the largest company in Australia to supply and install landscape supplies through Express Blower machines. They currently operate 6 Express Blower units.
